Tour Itinerary

DAY01

Airport Pick-Up- Arusha Coffee Lodge

Our staff will pick you up from Kilimanjaro International Airport and take you to your accommodation, Arusha Coffee Lodge found at the foot of Mount Meru and hidden amongst one of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantations. You will stay in one of the plantation cottages with its unique architecture that dates back to the early 1900s.

The interiors permeate by coffee beans-themed design and amenities include a bar and cozy lounge as well as a swimming pool and garden terrace. In the morning, you will wake up to the aromas of the morning brew coming from the main plantation as your breakfast is being prepared.

DAY02

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up by your driver/ tour guide who will take you to Tarangire National Park, located in Manyara Region. Tarangire is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania after Ruaha, Serengeti, Mikumi, Katavi, and Mkomazi. Activities will include a wildlife game drive where you can see pythons climb trees, as well as lions and leopards among others.

For the bird lovers, keep an eye for the screeching flocks of colorful yellow collared lovebirds, and the somewhat drabber rufous-tailed weaver and ashy starling. These are all endemic to the dry savannah of north-central Tanzania.

DAY03

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, we will proceed to a walking safari escorted by a professional armed ranger. In the afternoon, there will be another game drive at Tarangire National park. In this park, you are to see large herds of elephants, tree-climbing lions, and the fascinating baobab trees also called the Tree of Life for the almost mythical powers that some cultures attach to it.

This park is especially known for the Tarangire river which flows all year round and is the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons.

DAY04

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, we will set off to Lake Manyara National Park for yet another exciting game drive. Lake Manyara National Park is a scenic lake that made Ernest Hemingway exclaim “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”. Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife.
More than 400 species have been recorded, and if you are lucky, you can expect to see 100 of these in one day. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favored haunt of Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants.

DAY05

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, we will depart for a full-day game drive at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
This is an extensive highland area along the eastern arm of the Great Rift Valley, with the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point. It is not a national park in the strict sense of the word but was rather established to conserve wildlife and other natural resources.
It exists to safeguard the interests of indigenous people as well as promote tourism. Thus, guests on safari have the unique experience of seeing Maasai herdsmen with their cattle among the tremendous variety of wildlife found in the area.

DAY06

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we will set off for Serengeti National Park with a picnic lunch, and a game drives en route via Olduvai Gorge, Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park. A UNESCO world heritage site and recently proclaimed 7th wonder of the world, Serengeti is famed for its annual migration where some six million hooves pound the open plains. Between July to October, witness an actual survival of the fittest as these animals plunge through crocodileinfested waters. The wildebeest produces more than 8,000 calves daily before the 1,000 km (600 miles) pilgrimage begins again.

Serengeti offers an exotic game-viewing experience in the whole of Africa giving you up-close look at the animals you’ve only seen in National Geographic: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephants, and giraffes, and thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle.

DAY07

Serengeti National Park

Continuing our adventure in Serengeti National Park, today promises more thrilling game drives and encounters with Africa’s iconic wildlife. Witness the majestic herds of buffalo, elephants, giraffes, and the diverse array of antelope species. Experience the unparalleled beauty and raw wilderness that makes Serengeti a must-visit destination for wildlife enthusiasts.

DAY08

Serengeti National Park (North Lobo)

After breakfast, we will head north of Serengeti for a full-day game drive in the wilderness tracking the Great migration trails. Witness a million wildebeests, each one driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfilling its instinctive role in the inescapable cycle of life: a frenzied three-week bout of territorial conquests and mating; survival of the fittest as 40km (25 miles) long columns plunge through crocodile-infested waters on the annual exodus north.

DAY09

Serengeti National Park (North Lobo)

After breakfast, continue your adventure in Serengeti National Park’s northern Lobo area with a full-day game drive. Witness the awe-inspiring Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests follow their ancient migration routes. Experience the dramatic scenes of territorial conquests, mating rituals, and the perilous river crossings as these majestic creatures navigate through crocodile-infested waters on their annual journey northward.

DAY10

Back to Arusha

After breakfast, we will have our last morning game drive at Serengeti North and afterward transfer to the Lobo airstrip for your flight back to Arusha. Upon arrival in Arusha, we will take you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home.
